Hotel Owners Forum Abuja Kickoff 2022 Conference And Expo

November 26, (THEWILL) – The hosting of a large-scale Hotel Business Conference & Expo by HOFA, is billed to be held between November 29 and 30, 2022.

This information was issued by the executive management team of Hotel Owners Forum Abuja (HOFA), which noted that the Landmark Hotel Business Conference and Expo was one of the activities rolled out to mark the 20th anniversary of HOFA’s founding.

HOFA, one of the leading hospitality business associations in Nigeria, was founded in the year 2002.

According to the association, over the years, HOFA has been the pathfinder in Nigeria’s hospitality trade and services sector. The Forum has been proactive in protecting members’ interests by consistently interfacing with Government agencies and other non-state actors, to facilitate conducive business environments and advance favourable policies for hospitality and tourism businesses operating in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

HOFA’s planned Hotel Business Conference & Expo (HBCE) 2022, is billed to be an international event to the benefit of tourism and hospitality operators and service providers in Nigeria. Accordingly, as an annual event, HBCE will be an exceptional networking opportunity for tourism and hospitality industry investors, stakeholders and leaders. This maiden Hotel Business Conference and Expo(HBCE) 2022 is scheduled to be held at the popular Rockview Hotel (Royale) Wuse 2, Abuja.

Speaking, The HOFA President, Mrs Funmi Kazeem, explained that HBCE was a platform for like-minded peers in the hospitality industry to make valuable connections, exhibit, learn, do business and also discuss solutions to some challenges facing the hospitality industry, especially post Covid-19 pandemic.

She further clarified that “we are celebrating HOFA, an organisation that has strived through thick and thin for 20 years and still waxing stronger. With the myriad of challenges facing the industry generally, we felt the need to bring industry experts together, both from the international, private and government sectors to discuss issues that would bring about a drastic forward shift in the industry and reposition it to take its place of pride, as one of the industries that contribute so much to Nigeria’s IGR and labour force.”

She added that “at the end of the conference, solutions to some lingering issues in the industry would have been proffered and exceptional networking opportunities would have been created for the hotels and other participants.”

She confirmed to reporters in Abuja that a lot of Nigerian hospitality industry leaders and some high-level Federal Government officials will be attending the 2-day event in Abuja.

Some of the dignitaries that she confirmed will headline the event include Turaki Nura Sani Kangiwa, the DG of National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR); Chief Folorunsho Coker, the DG of Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC); Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the DG National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Mr Nkereuwem Onung, the President of Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), among others.
